About Us

St Columba’s Tennis Club has, until recently, perhaps been Ealing’s best kept sporting secret!  The Club is over 100 years old.  Initially the Club enjoyed a nomadic existence, finally acquiring a permanent home on the borders of Ealing and Acton.  Facilities include 4 all-weather courts, a clubhouse with full kitchen and gentlemen’s and ladies’ changing rooms.

The tennis club is a small, secluded club hidden between the Tudor-style houses of Gunnersbury Avenue, W5 and Carbery Avenue, W3 – we celebrated our 50th year at the present site on 14th June 2008.

St Columba’s Tennis Club was initially founded to give members of St Columba’s Church of Scotland in Knightsbridge a sporting and social outlet.  Today, the Club is thriving with a membership of around 100 players made up predominantly of locals, including a large junior contingent.  It prides itself on its friendly approach and willingness to take players of all standards.

Social Play is held on Saturday afternoon all year, and on Monday and Wednesday evenings during the summer.  There is an excellent tennis coaching programme ranging from the recognised Mini Tennis LTA programme through to Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced coaching for adults.

There is no joining fee and annual subscription prices are low with introductory memberships for new members.
